A new season of training has begun and XC Ottawa is already looking forward to the 2014/2015 race season!

The individual start classic races of the Canadian Nationals brought some more of the sunny weather and sugary conditions that have been here all week.

XC Ottawa achieved one of its major goals for the season by winning a silver medal in the hotly contested National Championhip 3x5km skate relay today!

Twenty-six hardy skiers came out and competed in the first annual NADC charity Time Trial raising more than $260 for the Training Centre. Conditions were cold, with 5cm of fresh powder snow over a hard packed base.

XC Ottawa’s Kyle Power and Sheila Kealey couldn’t have asked for a better end to the JSXCRSC (John Suuronen’s XCOttawa Roller Ski Cup) season. Ten men and eleven women toed the line, and the battle was unrelenting from start to finish.

Carleton University held there second time trail of the season. The team is gearing up for this winter's university racing action.
