For Fresh Air Experience, the ski season never officially starts or ends. Recently Bruce Jeffries, former CCC ED and Tom McCarthy, athlete rep on CCC's Board of Directors, dropped by the Ottawa store and presented owner Dennis Thomasson and Chris Bloch-Hansen with a framed signed poster of Team 2006 in recognition of being named CCC Sponsor of the Year for 2005-06.

Fresh Air was not only instrumental in creating the "Target the Podium" 2010 fundraising donation program in 2005 but have supported the CCC e-store and Podium Calendar project for years. On a regional level, Fresh Air has been instrumental in providing support to Club and skier development in both the Ottawa and Thunder Bay regions and was a gold sponsor of the 2006 Ski Nationals in Thunder Bay.

CBC's Ontario Today interviewed Al Cranston of the Thunder Bay store and Dave Dyer from CCC to talk about the award and Fresh Air's involvement in local sport promotion. The interview and photo's of the presentation can be reviewed at: CBC Radio: June 14, Sport Sponsorship - "You don't have to be big....to make an impact."

Consistent with serving the local community, Fresh Air opened its doors on Canada Day so local ski enthusiasts from across Ottawa could have a short visit with Chandra Crawford, Canada's Olympic Gold Sprint Medallist from 2006. Chandra made a special presentation to store owner Dennis Thomasson before sharing her medal and autograph with young skiers from the area.
