Kyle comes to us from Labrador City, which we all think is pretty cool. Last season he competed at the Canada Games for Newfoundland. Next season he is looking for good results at Canada Cups and Nationals with top 25 finishes in the open men's category. He hopes to give Carleton a hand by hunting for medals both on the OUA circuit and at the CCUNC Championships and to help defend the Carleton overall championship title. His long term goals are to continue to compete at a high level in Canada for the next couple of years with hopes of winning a national medal some day and to ski a World Loppet in Europe. He hopes to stay involved and contribute to the sport for as long as he can with the intention of coaching later down the road. He hopes to finish a bachelor of civil engineering at Carleton and after that he hopes to travel and perhaps have an epic ski/hiking expedition. But for now, he is trying to find the perfect balance between skiing, school, and enjoying life.
