Jim Howe Memorial Cross Country Race this Sunday. We’ll be there....

A couple of things are for sure. When you finish, you are going to be tired. You will also be satisfied because you have just run with real abandon, which you probably haven’t done since you were either 12 years old, or when you ran last year at the Jim Howe event. If it is a particularly good year, you’ll come home with not only a smile on your face, but maybe a just a little dirt on your shoes.

Some other good reasons:

- Not on pavement

- Not flat

- Not boring

- Not too long

- Not too hilly

- Not too tricky

- Not expensive

- Easy to get there

- No PBs

- Nobody cares

- You have been too soft since grade 9.

Details are provided at the link below. In a nutshell:

Races: 5.5k and 11k X-Country.

Registration: Is between $22 for grownups if you get it in before Friday at midnight.

Location: is the Hornet’s nest near Bearbrook Road.

Start time is: 10 AM. Sunday, October 16
