What: A celebration of the pilot grooming of the Rideau River Winter Trail
When: March 2, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: The Adàwe Crossing and the Rideau River Eastern Pathway (near 1 Donald St.)
Join Councillor Fleury and Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward to celebrate the grooming of a winter trail along the Rideau River! You can hop on the Rideau River eastern pathway anywhere between the Hurdman Bridge and Montreal Road to try out this pilot run of a pressed-snow trail that can be used for snowshoeing, skate-skiing, fatbiking and more!
We’ll be by the Adàwe Crossing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to offer light refreshments and chat with residents about their thoughts on opening up this trail more regularly in the winter months in the future.
You can also participate in a wide range of free activities at the nearby Rideau Sports Centre (1 Donald St.) thanks to its Open House weekend! Click here for details.
Please note the trail will not be groomed with classic cross-country skiing tracks for this pilot run.
