This weekend XCOttawa competed at the Eastern Canadian Championships in Ottawa

The second Ottawa regional High School race was run this past Monday at the Nakkertok Nordic Centre. This race selected which skiers and teams will represent the region at the Ofsaa finals.

Today was the final race of the Western NorAm series (Silver Star and Canmore). It was a 10km mass start for the women and 15km for the men.

This year's Kangaroo Hoppet saw more than 1,000 competitors take to the ski trails of Falls Creek in either the 42km, 21km or 7km events. The race is part of the World Loppet series and is the only event in the Southern Hemisphere.

The 41st edition of the Canadian Ski Marathon occurred this weekend and from many discussions I had with participants, it was a huge success. Everyone seemed to be pretty happy ...

This NCSSAA Nordic ski meet took place at Nakkertok Nordic. The next race is next week.

Generally the team did really well - Sheila was 3rd and Megan 7th in the women's 53km, Karl 4th and Brian 7th, Ed 10th, Wayne 11th, Tom 15th, Craig 23rd in the men's 53km. Gavin won the 28km and Andrew was 2nd in the 10km. Here's the blow-by-blow fro
