You folks are usually skiing a month or more before we see skiable snow (in Halifax or anywhere in Nova Scotia), but we got an unsual treat on Saturday: 30cms of heavy snow! We had gotten our groomer and snomobile out of storage and in place just the day before.
The 5km Lake Charles section of Shubie Park trail was groomed sat night and yesterday there were huge numbers of folks out along the to enjoy it. It should stay til wed when we get back to our usual warmup/rain to wash it away, until late December likely.
It is a great tease and will enjoy it while we can.
Cheers.
