As mentioned in the previous article, the trails were in immaculate shape heading into the Canadian Nationals at Lappe Nordic. It seems like trails are often great before major championship events and then, the night before the first race the “you know what” hits the fan.
David "Zugga" Zylberberg (sponsored by Karhu) took advantage of the relatively flat course at Porcupine Ski Runner Nordic in Timmins to double pole away from the competition in the first half of the same day pursuit. The victory in the classic leg secured Dave the first spot on Ontario's Canada Winter Games Team.

This past week-end was our first team training camp which was held at Owl Rafting on the Ottawa River.
Update: To participate, register at 8am either P8 or P9 on Saturday October 2nd. The world record for the most number of rollerskiers in one place, at one time, ever will take place at the mid-way parking lot at 8:30am.
XC Ottawa’s Kyle Power and Sheila Kealey couldn’t have asked for a better end to the JSXCRSC (John Suuronen’s XCOttawa Roller Ski Cup) season. Ten men and eleven women toed the line, and the battle was unrelenting from start to finish.
