Somebody declared this weekend a training camp, so we had to follow through. I would have to call it a big success.

This past weekend XCOttawa held its second training camp of the summer. As the OWL rafting camp was a big success, it would be a hard act to follow. We held the camp was at my cottage on Lac du Marble, just an hour drive from Ottawa.

The Thunder Bay trials races kicked off thursday, january 6th with the 10km, 15km, 20km and 30km pursuit races.

The lack of snow has just deprived skiers of races. Ski photographers have been without any subjects to shoot for quite some time, but this weekend's Nakkertok Invitational took care of both problems...

The 2005 Canadian National Championships kicked off on Sunday with the relay race events. The day was sunny and warm, as every day in beautiful Prince George has been thus far.

Many team members will be racing this weekend at different venues.

XC Ottawa had a great day this past Saturday in the 51km classic race at the Gatineau Loppet. This race was designated as the Canadian Long Distance Championships this year and Sheila Kealey came away as the Champion with her 2nd place finish...

...with some "pursuit style" intervals!

Here's a fun challenge to see how far you (and a team of up to 4 people) can ski in 6 hours. Conditions at Nakkertok look terrific for the March 31 Enduro!
