Many team members will be racing this weekend at different
venues.
Erika, Eva, Linnea, Gavin, and Ed will be competing for Carleton University at the first Ontario
University Qualifier in Haliburton. They’ll be skiing classic on Saturday (10k
for the men; 5km for the women) and skating on Sunday (15km for the men, 10km
for the women).
Wayne
was going to do the Lake Placid Loppet, but it was postponed due to poor snow
conditions. Instead, he’ll be racing at the Nakkertok Invitational along with
Sheila. The invitational will be classic (15k for the men; 10km for the women),
using the Nakkertok South race course that will be used for the upcoming
Eastern Canadian Championships.

Our speedsters P-O and Tom are heading to St Jérôme, QC,
for the Coupe Atomic 2, which is the Quebec Sprint Championships, featuring
skating sprints Saturday, and Classic sprints Sunday.
Karl and Megan are in Europe.
After competing a small local race in a farmers field in Giengen,
Germany (and winning a
couple of bottles of wine!), they are getting ready to compete in the
Marcialonga Worldloppet in Italy
on January 29th.
Andrew is headed to Telemark, Wisconsin, to compete in next weekend’s US
SuperTour races.
Look forward to some great race reports!
