Today was a very good day for the Ottawa girls. Perianne Jones finished in 1st place, Kate Brennan was 3rd and I surprised myself by making it to the A final and finishing in 6th (just inside the money!!)
While at the Canadian Championships at Whistler Olympic Park, I was given the opportunity to test next year's prestigious Red Dot award winning Alpina ECL classic boots.
Harry Nowell met the team in the park on a chili day not long ago for a quick photo shoot. Here are some of the results..

Starting the race season off with a pursuit without a break race is quite the challenge! The logistics of getting classic and skate skis waxed, tested, setting up transition, and racing at altitude put XC Ottawa to the test.
A great day for XC Ottawa with Sheila winning the women's 53km, Megan and Karl both grabbed 2nd and alumni Eva Szabo came 3rd.
