Canadian Eastern Championships
XC Ottawa team members competed in a variety of races and came home with a gold medal in the 29km Skate by Craig Storey, a bronze in the 29km classic courtesy of Justin Demers and Sheila and Megan making it into the money (top 5) for the 53km skate!
Today was the first rest day of the National Championships week. This past weekend was a busy and successful one for XCOttawa skiers.
“On the Chisel”, as far as I can tell from Andrew Wynd’s (formerly of XC Ottawa) Facebook page, is Australian for “training hard”, which is what we did this past weekend at OWL Rafting, during our 4th annual OWL training camp.

Two weeks ago, a contact from Ski de Fond Quebec assured me there was ‘at least three feet’ of snow at Foret Montmorency, and that the Quebec team was having a season kick-off training camp this past weekend.
