The 2006-2007 season was a great one for XC Ottawa. As a racing team, our performances are an important indicator of a successful year, and we had many occasions to celebrate good results.
A week and a half ago XCOTTAWA had a succesful outing at the GP des Couleurs Mountain Running Race in Mt. Tremblant. This Saturday (October 2) comes the other major mountain running race in the region; the Fall Rhapsody at Camp Fortune.
The new snow and mild temperatures will make this a spectacular weekend for skiing in the region, and there are many other nordic events happening.
XC Ottawa athletes have had a solid summer of ski training, with regular team workouts at Mooney’s Bay and Sunday morning rollerski sessions in the Gatineau Park.
As an alumni member of the XC Ottawa racing team, I thought that I'd contribute to the website with a couple of training sessions that I've done in the past month being in Western Canada.
Gavin, emerged as the leader of the Men’s Nordic Ski team that captured the program’s 3rd CCUNC/CIS Men’s National Title in the past seven years. He becomes the 3rd XCOttawa member after Megan and Eva to earn this honor. XCOttawa alumni Linnea Rudachyk earns the Graduating Female Athlete of the Year award.
