As part of its 2006-2007 funding from the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion, Cross Country Ontario has received a grant to fund a program within the National Capital District to introduce cross country skiing to children in Grades 6-8. We awoke to warm temperatures and a track that varied from ice to slush, making ski selection and waxing somewhat tricky. For the 3rd time this year, we pulled out the klisters and set about working out a good wax and luckily I had some support.
