Team XC Ottawa shines on sprint day in Thunder Bay

This week has been an eventful week and I have some interesting comments about skiing's greatest race so prepare yourselves. When I wrote last week's article I was feeling a little burntout (somewhat tired and lacking motivation).

Canmore got a snow fall in September and Thunder Bay got one yesterday so when will it happen in Ottawa? You tell us!

Team XC Ottawa suited up for the last race of the Trials/Haywood NorAm series in TBay. It was another lung burning day at Lappe and the team fought hard for some good results.

Here we go, the last race report of the season.

XCOttawa.ca showed up very strongly this past weekend at the National Long-Distance Championships, on both the mens and womens sides. The team placed two men in the top 10 and six in the top 15, while we had a 7th and 13th place showing from the women.

On Tuesday, XC Ottawa returned to the ski trails for a second day of racing in Whistler Olympic Park in British Columbia for the Haywood Nationals 2013.

This week, XC Ottawa's much-feared under-23 contingent, consisting of Ed and Gavin, are headed to Rossland, BC for Canada Cup racing. These races are trials for World U-23 championships and World Juniors. . .
