A rare chance to see the best skiers in Canada racing in our backyard!
Here we go, the last race report of the season.
Today marked our third day of competition and as has been the trend, temperatures have continued to climb, and didn't even get below freezing last night after the classic race.
Colin Abbott wins bronze medal!The energy never dies. Even at the end of a week of racing, skiers from across the country threw down in the long distance race of the National Championships in Whitehorse, Yukon.
Wayne Dustin is a two time Olympian in cross country skiing, having represented Canada at Calgary in 1988, and Albertville in 1992. 1992 was almost 13 years ago, but you can still find Wayne at some of the highest level North American races, such as the Canada Cup to take place at Silver Star this coming weekend...

For the next two years, the Gatineau Loppet will serve as the Canadian Long Distance Championship event. It does not replace the 30/50k races at the Nationals in Cornerbrook - these are scheduled as usual.
