What XC Ottawa was up to this past year!
The innaugural Chelsea Nordiq spritns got a flying start last night. XCOttawa.ca, NADC, @ US college teams (St. Laurence and Bowdoin), and lots of local skiers turned out to test their speed. The course was great, thanks to Linda Landry, the Dunnderosa golf course and Lafleur de la Capitale!
To begin, it must be mentioned that our team was exceptionally well prepared for this race, and we had excellent race and wax support. Among those who made superb contributions in this regard were Pavol Skvaridlo, John Langstone, Tom McCarthy, and Don Moxley.
Basically, the tour goes from Ottawa to Kingston on Saturday and back on Sunday. There are three routes to choose from. The Classic route is the original route that is 177km each way.
