As part of our great partnership with Nakkertok, this weekend XC Ottawa helped out with some trail clearing work and other odd jobs to help get the legendary Nakkertok North ready for your enjoyment this winter.

I decided at the last minute to continue my early season racing trip in Silver Star by going to Canmore. On Sunday night following the pursuit race I cancelled my plane ticket, booked another one from Calgary a week later, found a ride to Canmore and looked for a place to stay.

This was the last race of the Continental Cup series, and also the last race of the Canadian National team selection races for the World Championships and World Under-23 Championships. It was a pretty important race, and it was to be a fun one, too.
Saturday brought a major weather change to Whistler with heavy snow and wind. This made for a pretty slow skate sprint course, but XCOttawa braved the conditions and pulled through with some great results.
