The first Event was a mini-Birkebeiner where skiers carried a small pack to commemorate the rescue of a Norwegian infant prince.
This was a year of firsts. The first warm Keski I have been to, the first time that I have skied the 53km, and the first time I have played golf in Sudbury in January about 1 month before the Keski.

Past years have been so cold that the start has been delayed and/or the course shortened/altered to minimize risk of frostbite! What a pleasant change to be skiing in relatively balmy temperatures!
Placing? Who you beat? Who you were close to? Compare to how you did in previous years? How it felt?
It wasn't really spring-like conditions this morning, more like early winter. But with a substantial base in some place. There was up to 5cm of new snow higher up in the park. Lafleur groomed from P10!
