CSM and the Gatineau Loppets are over and we have (at least) the following skiers who have accomplished the Canadian Triple Ski Challenge..

Five skiers have accomplished the Canadian Triple Ski Challenge by completing all 160 km of the CSM, and both Gatineau 53 km classic and 53km skate races, over the two consecutive weekends.
Some describe it simply as the Boston Marathon of cross-country skiing. It is so big and famous, for instance, that one of my traveling partners, when being questioned as to his destination by the US border guards stated simply "We're going to the Birkie!".

The individual start skate race was on the menu today at the Canmore World Cup. For the women it was 10km and the men did 15km, on a 5km loop. The loop was very hard and the snow was cold, however the air had warmed up nicely by race time.
Conditions were fast for today's skate races at the Gatineau Loppet.
