During the last few days I have finally started to feel good while training. It usually takes my body between 5 and 15 days to readjust to the training routine at the beginning of the year.

Every four years a week of ski races occurs as part of a larger athletic and cultural festival. The Canada Games were created in 1967 in order to celebrate Canadian youth and culture, while promoting national unity and showcasing future athletic stars.

It is Christmas eve-day here in rainy Vancouver where I am visiting family for the holiday after three weeks on the road skiing and ski racing in British Columbia. Here is a recap of what I have been up to so far!

This week was dominated by a minor head cold I started to develop early in the week. Luckily, I reacted to it quickly and was able to prevent it from getting serious or preventing me from doing any real workouts.

After the disappointing cancellation of two major early-season competitions, XCOttawa.ca skiers finally kicked off our first racing season at the Ontario Cups #1 and #2 hosted by Laurentian Nordic.
