In the middle of June, I went to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, on the Sibley Peninsula in order to attend a training camp put on by NTDC Thunder Bay and the Canadian National Ski Team.
Thanks also to our volunteers who perservered despite an approximate 12 degree temperature drop between morning and afternoon.

A good start to the season - training, coaching, and a small (but colourful!) setback.
Ski boots have a screw at the front that connects the hard plastic sole to the boot part. I had managed to wear away all the material around this screw as well as the other connecting material so that my boot was no longer connected to the sole near the binding.
For a while I had been thinking about going to Hamilton for this weekend to watch the World Cycling Championships. Then I realised that television coverage is better in some ways and going to Hamilton was not the best idea in my preparations for ski season.
