The temperature rose from –1C over night to about +2C during the race. The result was that the flatter sections of the course were hard and glazed in the centre of the track, and fairly soft closer to each side. The uphill sections were quite soft and energy sapping.
Thanks also to our volunteers who perservered despite an approximate 12 degree temperature drop between morning and afternoon.

The 2nd NCD roller skiing time trial of the fall took place Sunday Nov. 6th. Thanks to Brad Jones, Judi Agnew, John Langstone, Jacques Dumont and the many other volunteers who made this possible.
Like the many people who came from near and far for this year’s “Gloppet”, XC Ottawa skiers enjoyed a great weekend of racing amid the socializing and general commotion that comes along with Canada’s most popular cross country ski race.
Today was sprint day at National Championships in Mont Ste. Anne, and this year’s version was classic sprints.
