I've skied 100km in one day maybe a dozen times over the years and 100km in one shot about 3 times, so I knew the fun that was in store for me during the PenguinMan.
This year was a very good one for the X-C Ottawa racing team. Moral was always high and many great results were seen from our athletes...
Generally the team did really well - Sheila was 3rd and Megan 7th in the women's 53km, Karl 4th and Brian 7th, Ed 10th, Wayne 11th, Tom 15th, Craig 23rd in the men's 53km. Gavin won the 28km and Andrew was 2nd in the 10km. Here's the blow-by-blow fro

Silver Fox put on an excellent event, this past Sunday. The tracks were fast, and held up well despite all the fresh snow.
For my first trip to Silverstar the snow was not a novelty but it did provide training opportunities and a warm-up for the holiday season.
