Become a Volunteer for Become a Volunteer for the 30th Anniversary of the Gatineau Loppet!
By:  Gatineau Loppet Team   (2008/01/26)

Take part in Canada’s number one cross-country ski event as a volunteer. The Gatineau Loppet, which will be celebrating its 30th anniversary on February 15, 16 and 17, is looking for 25 volunteers to work outdoors and 5 more to handle operations in the Salon du ski de fond.

The organizers need volunteers who will be able to work with the different committees, i.e. at the arrivals and departure area, the feeding stations and parking lot, handing out pins to the skiers and after-race meals, taking care of registrations and services to volunteers, and so on. Every volunteer will receive a toque with the Gatineau Loppet 30th anniversary logo and an invitation to the volunteers’ party on February 23rd.

The Gatineau Loppet is a member of the Worldloppet, the world’s top cross-country ski circuit, which consists of 14 international races. While the Gatineau Loppet is ranked as an international event attended by some very high calibre skiers, it is also a popular event for skiers of all ages and levels, and a favourite with families.

The registrations are coming in fast, and organizers are expecting close to 3,000 skiers from some 20 different countries. This is a tremendous opportunity to get involved and meet some interesting people.

If you would like to join the hundreds of volunteers committed to the success of this international event, please contact Nicole Émond at 819-243-2331, extension 1-1 or write us at info@gatineauloppet.com
