XC OTTAWA would like to announce a new partnership with Jessica Spring Illustration + Design (JSID). Jessica is a long time skier and former member of the National Team Development Center in Thunder Bay as well as the Ontario Team. She has numerous National Junior medals to her name as well as a couple of Senior relay medals!
While in Thunder Bay, she studied Visual Arts at Lakehead University. She went to Finland in her final year to ski and study there. Post graduation, she moved to Montreal and focused on commercial art. She went to college in graphic design and proceeded to work in a few ad agencies and fashion companies in Montreal as well as in Mt-Tremblant. Now in Montreal, she has her own business, JSID with a diverse range of clients, designing anything from clothing, logos, cards, stationary, posters, ads brochures etc. She is also regularly commissioned to illustrate for print and advertising.
Her suit designing began with the NTDC Thunder Bay suits in 1996. She continued the trend, designing the next suit for that team in 1998. Three years ago, she entered our suit design contest for a new XC OTTAWA suit and won hands down. After enjoying her suit design for three seasons we decided it was time for a change and she once again offered her expertise to make us look great! Combining her fantastic design skills with great ski racing suits from Podiumwear by Borah is a recipe for success (at least in our appearance). We are really looking forward to our new look, debuting this fall.
As a supporter of XC OTTAWA, JSID will contribute 10% of all sales generated through XCOttawa. Just mention you saw this article on our website!
Check her out, you won’t be disappointed!
