I thought the spotlight on Beckie was stellar, something for the Cross Country Skiing fans to enjoy, but also something that opens the eyes of an average sports fan. My friends and neighbours we're impressed that an athlete from such an underfunded sport defied the odds and succeeded. Her accomplishment is similar to the once impossible feat it was for an American to win the Tour de France (Greg Lemond).
After the interview it was a welcome surprise to see the world cup mass start events in Cogne. The new spectator friendliness of the World Cup Races is more exciting and easy to understand than the older, individual start format.
I'd love to see some coverage of the World Championships in Val Di Fiemme this year!
