Being fortunate skiers who live right in Old Chelsea, Arno, Karl and I have decided that we should share the wealth. (Actually we want all the inquiring phone calls to stop!) So now when you log onto www.xcottawa.ca you can see a live picture of the weather outside our window. Click on the picture to see a larger version! Soon we will include air temperature measured at the same location as well.
The idea for this has been brewing for a while but has been significantly delayed due to problems with networking my computer. Finally (after hours of work by Arno and Craig) Arno volunteered to relocate his home office to another room with a good view. This was finished on Thursday night, just before heading up to our first on snow training camp (not our first time skiing this year though!) at Montmorency, which has 30 cm of great snow. Craig has finished the final touches from up here and the webcam is ready to go!
So, if you want to know what to wear, which skis to bring, or even if you are just curious about what's up outside Megan, Karl and Arno's place, log on and find out for sure before you pack your bags and head up to Gatineau Park.
