The Canadian Triple Ski Challenge is a significant test of cross country skiing endurance and skill. It is accomplished by skiing all of the Canadian Ski Marathon’s 10 sections, usually 160K, as a Coureur des Bois or Tourer, AND completing both of the Gatinea Loppet’s longest races, classic and freestyle (usually 51 K each.)

While the 2015 Gatineau Loppet long skate race was adjusted to 42 km, because of the extreme cold (below -40c with wind-chill brrrr), it was one of toughest long races in memory. So this was one of the toughest years to complete the Triple because of the extreme cold conditions. And, there are no easy years. To all of you who rose to the challenge. Chapeau!
This year we have (so far reported) these inductees who successfully met the challenge:
- Jim Everard, Toronto, ON, Canada, - 3rd accomplishment
- Annie Jean, Gatineau, QC, Canada – 3rd accomplishment
- David McCaw, Ottawa, ON, Canada – 2nd accomplishment
- Yves Fortin, Ottawa, ON, Canada – 1st accomplishment
- Éric Rouleau, Ottawa, ON, Canada – 2nd accomplishment
- Emily Heath, Ottawa, ON, Canada – 1st accomplishment
- Stephan Meyer, Chelsea, QC, Canada – 1st accomplishment
- Artur Stec Gatineau, QC, Canada -1st accomplishment
- Kevin Woodley, Ottawa, ON, Canada -1st accomplishment
