Here is a fun local running race for Thanksgiving Day - the Chelsea Challenge. The race supports "La Maison Libčre-Elles," a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide specialized assistance and accommodation for women victims of violence or who have temporary difficulties and their children.
This race has been run for 21 years, and some of the runners have been doing it since they were in strollers. It's popular with Chelsea locals and the cross-country ski community.
