July 6: Sheila and Peter raced the Mike Collingwood Memorial triathlon, with Sheila placing 3rd overall woman, and Peter 20th overall men. It's by far Sheila's favourite triathlon because of the Gatineau Park venue (swimming in Meech Lake, cycling a loop of the Park, and running P8-P9), and the fantastic organization that has take over from Mike Collingwood after he passed away in 2006. Mike was an incredible man and loved to encourage anyone to get active - he was also a dedicated volunteer and helped organize many local events, including the Meech Lake Triathlon and the Keskinada. Full results are here.

June 16th: Holly and XC Ottawa alumni Lee Hawkings and Logan Potter took to the start line of the KCIBR, a 240km road bike race going from Haines Junction, Yukon over the Coast Mountains and down to the ocean at Haines, Alaska on a very scenic stretch of highway. Holly joined forces with Carleton's Kendra Murray, Holly Bull, and Queen's XC Alumnus Julie McVicar, to finish 6th in the women's 4 person team category. Lee and Logan teamed up with Nansen Murray and Michael Abbott to finish 3rd in the men's 4 person category. Results can be found here.

May 15th: Karl raced the Spring Chicken Enduro 10km trail race, located in Beachburg, ON. Karl finished 2nd with a time of 38:18. The winner was the talented Tristan Woodfine of Cobden, ON, who finished in a blisteringly fast time of 35:02.

May 4th: Karl and Megan both race the Wakefield Covered Bridge Run, a 5km race that follows the Gatineau river. Fortunately, Karl remembered to turn around at the correct point of the race this time, and finished first overall, with a time of 16:45. Megan was not far behind, winning the women's race with a time of 20:52. Pictures can be found here, and results here.
