A few XC Ottawa skiers ventured out for their first ski of the year (or for some of us, first ski in Gatineau of the year) yesterday morning.

I decided to skate ski, which may not have been the best idea. It's pretty manageable if you stay on the grass, but classic skiing is definitely recommended!
Although it may not look like it, i'm struggling pretty hard right here!
Staying on the parkway is definitely another recommendation. Even though the snow was coming down pretty hard yesterday, there is still not enough snow on some of the rockier trails.
Also, don't switch those rollerski tips quite yet!

If you haven't been out skiing yet, it's about time for a ski this weekend, if the weather holds up. So grab your rock skis and head out to Gatineau!
