Day #3: 15km/30km Handicap Classic
Its all over....what a tough weekend! Thanks so much to our amazing wax team of John, Craig and Anna. The Nishikawas dominated once again with Emily winning the women's race and Graham winning the men's. As for XCOttawa, Sheila was the top woman across the line and Colin was the top man. Other notable performances (ie. people who made up a lot of ground by catching lots of people who had been faster in the previous two days) were Karl (2nd fastest overall), Lee and Logan. Congrats guys! Official results of the distance race. For now, here are some pictures from the Men's race.

Day #2: 1.5km Skate Sprint
XC Ottawa's top results today came from its junior skiers. Ingrid Hagberg had a strong final finishing a tight 4th, and Peter Beisel who qualified 16th overall in Open Men finished 10th in Junior Men. Peter also distinguished himself today by making a brilliant move on the first big climb to go from 4th at the bottom to 1st at the top. He was the only skier today who managed to pass multiple skiers on the tight steep climb, though we imagine he felt it in his legs down the finishing stretch.
