Silverstar is such a great place - you see very happy skiers everywhere. It's become a hard-to-miss family vacation, and once again, we made the journey West last week to enjoy a break, amazing snow, and great ski conditions.
Now I"m looking forward to racing the first races of the NorAm Series. The Sovereign Lake NorAm is always a popular event, owing to the amazing venue, great trails, super competition, and of course, all the skiers are SO keen to race! As usual, many teams have traveled from far and wide to attend these races. Colin and myself are here from XC Ottawa.
The Ottawa area is well represented by the Nakkertok Club, here with a good contingent of athletes. . .

A big group of athletes from the Ontario Team came to Silverstar for an early season training camp and the NorAm Races. I shared my nutrition wisdom with them Wednesday night, and was impressed with this next generation of skiers.
Most Canadian National Team athletes (who aren't in Europe) and National Development Center athletes are also here to race, as well as several Alberta teams.
Silverstar has become a popular training and racing venue with many American teams as well. The CXC team traveled here from West Yellowstone races, and athletes from XC Oregon, and the Sun Valley teams will also be competing. The APU team also has a large contingent of athletes here.
