It's been a relaxing week at magical Silverstar. Family vacation, tons of snow, a great bakery/coffee shop, and an amazing network of well-groomed ski trails right out the door. What else could you want?
The racing gets underway with Canada's first NorAm event at Sovereign Lake this weekend. It will be a competitive field, with a strong contingent of Americans, and many Canadian skiers are in top form vying for the final coveted spots on the Olympic team. Saturday is an individual start skate race (10k for women, 15km for the men). Sunday will be skate sprint races.
