Description:
It's another hot day at the cottage and your training program says "intensity". So what do you do?
This is a favourite at the Hamilton cottage. It is a race type workout which involves a 2 mile run, a 500m swim and a 1.5km paddle. The run is on back cottage roads which circumnavigates our lake. It is a brutal up and down road with very little recovery. By the time you reach the other end of the lake opposite the cottage are hoping that you will be able to make it across. The swim takes you back to the cottage warf where the kayak is waiting. This is the last leg of the triathlon, a paddle to the rock on the other end of the lake and back.
Comments:
It is a great workout as it involves your whole body. The distances can be varied depending on the level of the participant. Our course is about a 35 minute ordeal. It is a workout which requires a good warm up and cool down. Each year we have guests which try and beat their personal best. Good luck!
