The 2008-2009 season kicked off on November 26, 2008. The early start led the way to a very good cross-country skiing season in the Park. Activities organized by local ski clubs and other groups such as the Keskinada Loppet, Norway Day and several ski races contributed to a successful ski season. This year, more than 5,500 people bought a cross-country season pass to ski in Gatineau Park. So far, the 2008-2009 ski season has lasted 127 days.
