I thought the skiing was fabulous today, despite some of the ice here and there, I had my most enjoyable and longest skate ski of the year - however it was interesting to note that the classic tracks on the Gatineau parkway (which was half groomed although listed as ungroomed) had been recently "moved" at least a meter over to the extreme edge of the parkway. It was too soft for poling and one skier we met called it a "bear trap" because she had caught the tips of her skis and flipped out in the soft snow of the tracks. Bizarre.

The best grooming I have seen in the park this season. The entire network was completed, not "Before 8am", but by 7am. The classic tracks started and stopped in perfection, they were firm and straight, simply perfect. (These pictures don't do them justice as the light was too low.)

Perfect tracks and corduroy.

Gossip Corner, simply perfect.

Look at the way the corduroy flows together.  That's how it should be done, every time.

Classic tracks perfectly overlapped at an intersection.

Perfect!
