Everybody on the Trail!
By:  Gatineau Loppet Team   (2008/11/23)

Hello fellow skiers,

After the first snowstorm on October 28, and a first outing on groomed trails, local skiers are eagerly awaiting the next snowfall. In the meantime, the organizing committee is putting all its efforts into the 31st Gatineau Loppet, which will be taking place between February 13 and 15.

Every year, the Gatineau Loppet joins with a member country of the Worldloppet circuit to highlight its culture. Who will be the host for the 31st edition? Find out in our next e-mail!

You have less than two weeks left to take advantage of the best registration fee for the Gatineau Loppet. As of December 1, the rates will rise. Hurry and make the most of our lowest rates!

New information has been added to the Gatineau Loppet Web site. Under "The races" you will find a temporary brochure with lots of useful details about taking part in the event. It will soon carry an extract of the DVD produced by XCZONE.TV!
For additional information about the DVD, check www.xczone.tv/loppet.htm.

The Gatineau Loppet Junior is a new activity organized just for high school students. Participants will get to ski the 5 or 10 km trails while discovering Gatineau Park and engaging in an athletic and healthy activity! The concept is essentially based on participation, and will take into account the number of kilometres skied by the students of each school. A final ranking will be set based on the group results. In short, the greater the number of students taking part from a given school, the more kilometres they will be able to ski!

"As enlightening as the greatest writings may be, they shed less light than the first snowflakes." - Christian Bobin

On that lovely note, until next time!
