Although I had intended to take Sunday as a rest day, a very persistent Lindsay managed to convince me to ditch my studying to accompany her on what turned out to be the most fun ski of the year... We agreed to meet along the canal near the walking bridge. Lindsay started her journey from 5th avenue in the Glebe and I began by skiing down Cooper Street and crossing over Elgin, both headed for the canal. From the walking bridge we continued to ski towards parliament and had no shortage of exciting moments along the way. After an urban "backcountry" climb gnarly enough to make Ed feel jealous, and a tour de parliament we headed for the market to take a hot chocolate feed with Lindsay taking a quick bathroom break at the Chateau Laurier on the way. Wax of the day was Vauhti carrot.
Whoaaaa Snow!!
Lindsay trekkin', she is too tough for skins.
Halfway up the grunt..
That's a BIG truck on the corner of Elgin and Wellington!
Mamma Los will be so proud to see this!
We found a friend along the way...
First Tracks!!
Cruisin' towards the Chateau Laurier from Parliament.
I got to see parts of the market I didn't even know existed!
Hot Chocolate is a good thing to take as a feed.
heading back home along the canal.
Lindsay calls "TRACK!!" on a pedestrian. Geeze lady, she's trying to ski here...
