Lappe Nordic Ski Centre is in immaculate shape heading into the Canadian National Championships which start Sunday March 5 with the junior, open and university relay races.

As mentioned in the previous article, the trails were in immaculate shape heading into the Canadian Nationals at Lappe Nordic. It seems like trails are often great before major championship events and then, the night before the first race the “you know what” hits the fan.

Callaghan Valley and its snowfall welcomed the start of individual racing at Nationals today...

Both the men and women were 12th in the relay in China.

I did not approach Saturday’s race as the race of the season because it was mainly meant as preparation for the 50km classic race at the Nationals.

Good Friday this year was a day of sprinting at the Canadian Nationals at Whistler Olympic Park. XCOttawa skiers Tom, Justin, Megan, Alana and Zoe represented the team in this star studded event.

The third race of the 2010 Nationals in Whitehorse was the Individual Skate Event. We were faced with yet another challenging but fun Skate course.
