Since the national 50km race (the conclusion of the ski season), it has been an interesting 3 weeks or so and there have been a number of things that have happened to me that have been (1) stressful, (2) eye opening, and (3) funny . . .
In this article I will compare the training pros/cons of two very ski suave communities, Calgary and Ottawa.

First and foremost, a big thanks go out to all those who helped and encouraged us through the year, with huge respect and thanks to our coaches, Pavol Skvaridlo and John Langstone. Generally the team did really well - Sheila was 3rd and Megan 7th in the women's 53km, Karl 4th and Brian 7th, Ed 10th, Wayne 11th, Tom 15th, Craig 23rd in the men's 53km. Gavin won the 28km and Andrew was 2nd in the 10km. Here's the blow-by-blow fro
XC Ottawa has capped off yet another great season! After a fun summer and fall of great training we began the season in Silverstar, British Columbia in November and just kept going until Nationals Championships held in March at Highlands Nordic, Ontario.
