This past weekend Karl and I decided to celebrate Thanksgiving by getting out of town and going on a fall canoe trip.

While Karl and Megan have skied from P10 at ~6pm, the XC Ottawa webcam didn't detect snow so the contest is still on! (Sorry Ed & Ken)

I will be boarding the plane and heading to Tarvisio, Italy to race with the Canadian team at the FISU 2003 Winter Universiade. This event is run like a mini Olympics for University student athletes.

In a nutshell, things went much better for everyone with XC Ottawa this week.

XCOttawa.ca showed up very strongly this past weekend at the National Long-Distance Championships, on both the mens and womens sides. The team placed two men in the top 10 and six in the top 15, while we had a 7th and 13th place showing from the women.

XC Ottawa'ers braved the elements to make it home in time for Christmas, in the upcoming Motion Picture event.

XC Ottawa put in a solid performance today in Canmore, on the tough 2.5 km Olympic and Centennial loops in the continuous pursuit.
