As we arrived at the racecourse, a small lake was forming in the stadium.
With the temperature not even going below zero last night, the clouds helped slow down the melting caused by the sun, letting the track stay icy for the morning's qualifying rounds in the sprint.

XC Ottawa has capped off yet another great season! After a fun summer and fall of great training we began the season in Silverstar, British Columbia in November and just kept going until Nationals Championships held in March at Highlands Nordic, Ontario.
Overall, XC Ottawa’s 2007-2008 racing season was one of the best and most consistent, with good performances from the early races in November through to Nationals in March.
